I had a bit of an enlightenment today, whilst listening to the BBC radio podcast. As quoted by Ne-Yo, on Steve Wright, 28 Jan 09

“Don’t try to recreate moments”

This got me thinking about a similar thought from Merlin Mann

Find your obsession. Every day, explain it to one person you respect. Edit everything, skip shortcuts, and try not to be a dick. Get better.

If we don’t experiment and try something new then we can never be creative and make ourselves better. I’ve tried to illustrate this to show how by recreating the same thing; we still use the same time to create it but we haven’t achieved anything more than the original creation.
