Everyday, we will catch one or more headlines; news about car accidents caused by neither a drunken driver or a crazy over speed driver. Because of them, people lost their lives, lost their friends and family.
What is going on to our society?
Who does not know wine and drive should not marry?
Who does not know Hong Kong’s traffic is not build for racing?
Why still doing it?
Is the law is too weak? Or
The penalty is too lenient?
May be, the Government is trying to do something now; though, people have been waiting the law responding for too long, and these are all the afterward consequence.
What about prevention?
What was in the driver’s mind before they decided to have a drink and then drive?
Why speed-up when the surrounding is not suitable?
Did they all drink alone?
Did anyone try to stop them before they get into their car? Or
That’s all their kinds’ believing?
They believe they can do better?
Why are there so many non-conscience driver?
They actually enjoy doing it? Or
They are proud of their dares?
Ah ah, what if we put it in this way, whoever drunken driver or speeder, if you are lucky to survive from the accident you caused, you will let drink and drive again, in a set up journey, a single highway with a hard stone wall dead-end. And if you don’t died this time, you will let out of the judge. Will you take the offer?
The fact is, we are mostly too young and too easy to gain our license nowadays. At the age of 17? The youngest the you, the most fearless speeder, not a must, but will be. And the fact is, does anyone cares of how to be a conscience driver anymore?
It is very easy to be a driver, you might be able to drive before you gain a license, but be a conscience driver? Not everyone out there admitted it’s importance, I think.
I overheard a young lady talking to a young boy before they get on the left.
She said, “I just have my license, I can drive you to school, within a second.” She waved her arm in the air, showing off.
They look so young, and they are. They look so careless, and so fearless, and they are going to drive.
Yes, you might say, hang on, those drunken drivers are not young, not like 17.
Ah, they are not allowed go to into a bar yet, and God has to bless them grow up well educated, best behave, self-discipline. or go to hell first before they kill someone first.
Let’s make Hong Kong a safe driving place, be a conscience driver.
We need prevention, it’s more important than the penalty.
